SUMMARY:GriffinGrrl, Erin O’Conner Drew, Sol Calderon, MattG, Sean Wood, Copeland, 4×4 Bill & Isis
DESCRIPTION:The first annual ‘Will Run for Tacos!’ Event at Seward Park last Spring was so much fun that we’ve decided to do it again and make it even more amazing! This year there will be a 5K, 10K, and a half marathon option run routes mapped out across beautiful Seward Park in South Seattle. We will have incredible local area DJs donating their time and incredible talent to the cause so we can keep the dance party going all day long! \nDJS:\nGriffinGrrl\nErin O’Conner Drew\nSol Calderon\nMattG\nSean Wood\nCopeland\n4×4 Bill\nDJ Isis\nWe will have Tacos at the finish line (stay tuned for taco details) and 30-minute pre and post run yoga will be offered by Yogini Rose at 10am and 1pm. Finally, there will be a “bike refreshments crew” providing electrolytes, snacks and tunes to stretch and boogie to along the route and keep runner’s spirits high!\nTo commemorate Earth Day, all event proceeds will be donated to Got Green, a local social justice focused nonprofit whose mission is: “Got Green organizes for environmental, racial and economic justice as a South Seattle-based grassroots organization led by people of color and low-income people. We cultivate multigenerational leaders to be the central voices in the Green Movement in order to ensure that the benefits of the Green Movement and Green Economy (green jobs, healthy food, energy efficient and healthy homes, public transit) reach low-income communities and communities of color.”\nSuggested donation per adult participant is $20 to $50 (kiddos 12 and under free). Please send donations to the following online accounts listed below and Emily G will then seek a match for everything raised through Microsoft! Please put “Taco Run!” in your description so we know to hold the money aside for the event / cause:\n• Vemno: @Rose-Coleman (last 4 of phone 4346)\n• PayPal: rosecoleman09@gmail.com\n• CashApp: $RosiePosieYogi\n10am-6pm\nFamily & dog friendly\n Facebook event page\n Return to main calendar\n
