Routine presents James K live: For the first time ever, we’re putting on a live show! james K with Hünter. We couldn’t be more excited to host james K on her album tour for “Friend.” Easily one of the most exciting records we’ve heard in years. As their label @ad93rec has stated, “No exaggeration here – this is one of the best records we have ever put out.” Massive praise from one of the best forward-thinking electronic labels in the world.
james K (live): A version of james K was born. Comprised of bones, reactive metals and a larynx with freckled eyes that catalyzes that mix. When she chews gum, it’s not clear which one of her personas does it. Since their first release in 2013, describing them separately is grunt work as they switch places, cosplay each other and would most likely lull you into a lonesome dream. Together, they know how to produce, sound, film and edit, performing and DJ in clubs and theaters, along composers and children alike. They star on a French TV, during commissioned exhibitions and on runways, too. They release on Incienso, AD 93, PAN, and continue to operate their label, She Rocks!. K provides shows for NTS, works with Yves Tumor, 3XL, Drew McDowall, slayed her band SETH twice. Though acclaimed, collaborations are not the point. She produces music that makes temporary haven for indomitable lyrics – and these are in constant flux. Take a sip of water before your memory error blinks. Dial to K. Listen to the disfragmented territory and the cast of it she’s making. It might not be what you will have thought tomorrow.
