Reserve your complimentary admission here and get ready to feel the rhythm like never before! See you at DanceABLE!

Seattle’s beloved dance music radio station, c89.5 FM, is thrilled to announce its partnership with Music: Not Impossible and The Museum of Flight to present DanceABLE, an innovative and inclusive dance experience tailored for the d/Deaf and hard of hearing community. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at The Museum of Flight in Seattle as part of Yuri’s Day activities. Entrance to DanceABLE also admits you to all Yuri’s Day activities.

DanceABLE is an all-ages, access-centered event that incorporates Music: Not Impossible‘s Vibrotextile™ haptic suits. These suits translate beats, instruments, and vocals into tactile sensations on the skin, allowing participants to experience music in a whole new way. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in making music and dance accessible to everyone, regardless of hearing ability. The highlight of DanceABLE will be a headlining performance by dance/pop sensation Anabel Englund.

d/Deaf or Hard of Hearing Individuals: 150 free Tickets for DanceABLE are now available. Your ticket includes access for 1 guest (under 18 must be accompanied by someone 18+), and includes access to all Yuri’s Day activities. To reserve your spot for the Vibrotextile™ experience, please visit c895.org/danceable. Hearing individuals can attend DanceABLE with the purchase of a general admission ticket to The Museum of Flight.

DanceABLE is made possible through the collaborative efforts of c89.5 FM, Music: Not Impossible, The Museum of Flight, Seattle Children’s Childhood Communication Center, 4Culture, Pacific Science Center, and Not Impossible Labs. For more information about DanceABLE and to stay updated on the latest announcements, please visit c895.org. c89.5 is a self-supporting unit of Seattle Public Schools providing careerconnected learning opportunities in electronic media including radio, podcasting, and social media creation.
