Ge-ology
OFF99 is BACK on Friday, November 7th, for an odyssey through style, tempo, and mood featuring NYC vinyl master Ge-ology and Seattle’s own Supreme La Rock. All vinyl, all night upstairs.
Ge-ology (NYC): Ge-ology is a Baltimore-born, New York-based polymath whose fingerprints run deep across hip-hop, soul, and dance music. A producer, DJ, and visual artist in equal measure, he’s worked with 2Pac, Jill Scott, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and De La Soul, with timeless releases on Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature and Dekmantel. As Resident Advisor wrote, he’s “one of the best vinyl DJs out, flawlessly mixing house, disco, and whatever else is in the crate with singular panache.” His approach to DJing is deeply personal and alive — “a well-written novel that takes us on a journey of unforeseen change… each chapter leading us somewhere unexpected yet intrinsically connected to where we began” (RA – Art of DJing). Ge-ology’s sets drift between eras and emotions, weaving funk, soul, house, and hip-hop into something intimate yet expansive — the kind of dance floor storytelling that reminds you why you fell in love with records in the first place.
