On July 10, while traveling back to Seattle from Boston, David was unexpectedly detained by ICE before boarding his flight. What was supposed to be a normal travel turned into three weeks of him being in Jail. We’re coming together to help raise funds for David’s legal defense and to remind him that he wasn’t facing this alone. Thankfully, thanks to the timing of his release, David is now free and will be joining us for the night.
LIBERTAD is more than a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of freedom, community, and the incredible support that so many people showed during one of the most difficult moments of his life. Monkey Loft has opened its doors for this cause. Dozens of people worked behind the scenes to make this night possible. Join us as we celebrate David’s return, support him with the legal challenges that still remain, and spend a night doing what brought all of us together in the first place: music, community, and connection. Thank you to everyone who has supported David and his family. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you.
