Purple Disco Machine: So ingrained in his identity, Tino Piontek’s artist name Purple Disco Machine is a deliberate homage to his funk hero Prince and the dance flair of Gloria Estefan’s Miami Sound Machine. While the sonic identity of Purple Disco Machine grew up in the clubs of East Germany, where his passion for disco & house flourished, he has since evolved to become an all-encompassing radio and streaming king. A suitable title for an artist with well over 1 billion streams & multiple European Airplay Chart toppers across his catalogue with hits like ‘Hypnotized’, ‘Fireworks’, ‘Dopamine’, ‘In The Dark’ and ‘Substitution’. Gigamesh: Gigamesh is the stage name of Matt Masurka, a music producer and DJ based in Los Angeles. He has contributed to multiple Billboard 100 singles, dozens of remixes, several solo EPs and a full length album. His collaborators include some of the most celebrated artists in music. Gigamesh started his journey in Minneapolis during the bloghouse era of the late aughts. During that time, he regularly performed at the legendary First Avenue and released many remixes that accumulated millions of plays on various platforms. He was soon getting hired to do official work for several artists including Mike Posner and Kimbra, which led to multiple singles reaching the Billboard top 40 and years of touring around the world. This coincided with several EPs of original music released by labels such as Kitsuné, followed by a self-released full length. Gigamesh’s music has been supported by tastemaker DJs as varied as Bonobo, Kelly Lee Owens, and Diplo.
