Electronic dance music & the Emerald City Covering Seattle area EDM since 2011

Rusko, SubDocta & Moody Good

Bassrush presents the 1 Man Army tour: Seattle, it’s go time. The 1 Man Army tour hits Victory Hall on September 6 with Rusko and support from Moody Good and SubDocta. Prepare for bass carnage.

Rusko: Nearly a decade ago, Rusko demanded the world to wake the fuck up, and it did. Now he’s back to push the envelope further and prove that the UK sound that made him iconic is, as powerful now as it was then. The UK-born DJ/Producer and graduate of the Leeds College of Music pioneered the rise of dubstep, transforming it from an underground genre in urban London to an international phenomenon stretching from the UK to the US and beyond. Rusko’s gritty, genre-defining single “Cockney Thug”, as well as FabricLive.37, his debut collaboration album with fellow electronic heavyweight Caspa, is considered crucial to popularizing the iconic wobble of dubstep. His first solo album O.M.G.!, was largely produced on the road in 2010, with Rusko cutting tracks by day, and testing them on living, breathing dance floors by night. Rusko continues to be a unique buoy in a sea of generic, overly aggressive bass music which has largely abandoned its groove-based UK origins. Time and time again, his versatility shines through an expansive canon of music that includes definitive solo projects, collabs with legends like Cypress Hill, production for M.I.A and remixes for the likes of everyone from Lady Gaga to Kid Sister to Sub Focus. Rusko relentlessly maintains his grasp on the cutting edge of electronic music and proves to be an unstoppable force. And the world better stay the fuck awake for new things to come.

SubDocta: SubDocta is known for throwing down his own brand of dubstep, trap, and hybrid styles too odd for the typical nightclub scene. His eclectic taste and production skills have landed him performances at festivals and shows throughout the west and beyond including Lucidity, The Bounce, Emissions Bass Culture, Enchanted Forest, The Untz, StillDream, The Pirate Party, and Bass Camp multiple years in a row. With releases on labels such as MalLabel and ShadowtrixMusic, plus with Bassnectar supporting his songs, he has proven himself worthy of our ever-growing scene.

Moody Good (UK): Eddie Jefferys is best known for his work as 16bit, the London based duo who created their unique brand of bass heavy music. While working as 16bit, Eddie released tracks such as ‘Jump’, ‘Dinosaurs’, ‘Boston Cream’, and ‘FRZR9000.’ His song ‘Jump’ was later featured in a Nike commercial. Soon after their remix of Noisia’s ‘Machine Gun,’ was used in the trailer and various TV spots for the Transformers’ film series, Dark of the Moon.
