Hausman: Hausman is a solo music project started by Devon Ausman. Genres include progressive house, trance, and electro. Devon Ausman (A.K.A. Hausman) has certainly made a name for himself in the trance and progressive house scene since his debut EP in 2016. Taking influence from the sounds of deep, groovy house, melodic, uplifting trance, and dark, gritty techno, he aims to make music which blends genres in unexpected ways. His diverse tracks feature heavy basslines with electro-house influences, immersive atmospheres, and most importantly, beautiful chords and melodies that will catch your ear. A Berklee grad and musician from a young age, Devon began his journey in the world of trance and progressive with a solo release on Intricate Records. In 2017, he released with Myon’s Ride Recordings and snatched up triple support from Above & Beyond on Group Therapy, which thrust him into the scene’s spotlight. Since then, he’s released on labels such as Monstercat, Silk, Enhanced, and Armada, remixed tracks by Dezza, Marsh, and Elevven, and garnered support from Armin van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, Tritonal, and many more.
Shay De Castro: It was only a matter of time before the US exported a female techno fire starter, and her name is Shay De Castro. From Amsterdam to Guatemala, Shay’s been electrifying both veteran and new-gen ravers around the world with her explosive, melodic anthems. Her releases top the Beatport charts regularly, collaborating with artists such as Pleasurekraft, Spektre, and Gary Beck. With support from the upper echelon of techno, it’s hard to attend a festival without hearing a De Castro detonator. Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin, ANNA, and others are all regular players of her tracks. However, behind those massive, menacing kicks, Shay is just a small-town girl at heart whose dreams have taken her further than she ever thought possible. From humble beginnings in Boise, Idaho, the Los Angeles- based artist’s success has only just been kickstarted. If you look back at the best raves you’ve been to a year from now, Shay De Castro will surely be at the forefront. You know those nights when you look at your phone and it’s somehow already 5 am? Her sets are like that. Characterized by hypnotic melodies, cinematic breaks, and thundering kicks, she’s found a home on some of the most influential techno labels today. From Kraftek to Respekt, she’s carved out a niche where melodic and big room techno seamlessly meld together. Who would’ve thought ethereal and relentless would go together so well? As for 2023, Shay will only further solidify her place at the forefront of techno’s newest generation. The exciting talent has won the ears and hearts of many, with a passion for sharing her music with the masses.
