The Resistance
In an era where bass music constantly evolves, The Resistance has stormed onto the scene with so much presence it’s impossible to ignore. This masked, Star Wars-inspired collective debuted their first EP in February 2025 and has since taken the dubstep world by storm, crafting a fresh take on riddim that blends cinematic sound design with crunchy drops. Their breakout track, “Evil Empire,” has become an instant banger, finding its way into the sets of heavyweights like Excision, ATLiens, Svdden Death, and Samplifire, a testament to their quick, yet undeniable impact.
The Resistance has taken advantage of their ability to merge theme and sound into a cohesive, immersive experience. Tracks like “Laser Brain” weave ominous, galactic atmospheres with unique sounds and basslines creating tracks that are quite literally, riddim perfection. Their live shows amplify this energy, with sounds that transport crowds straight into a bass-fueled Star Wars realm. It’s no surprise they’ve already sold out headlining shows and secured major festival slots, all while earning support from big riddim names like Aweminus, Automate, and Mad Dubz.
With their innovative approach and relentless momentum, they’re poised to become the next thing in riddim. The Force is strong with this one, and the bass scene is fully surrendering to The Resistance. –Relentless Beats
