Hector Rodriguez, Miss Min.D & Mr.Linden
Superstition be dammed, we are back in the house on Friday the 13th! March Bar/Car is going to be a kind of Back of the House reunion with all three BotH residents playing hand picked tracks showcasing their varied sounds. Free party, good people, proper vibes. Bring friends, grab a drink, and come celebrate music, milestones, and movement with us inside the Orient Express’s legendary Bar Car.
Hector Rodriguez: Born in New York City, heavily influenced at an early age by a plethora of diverse music including salsa, merengue, bachata, hip hop (he was a kid living in the Bronx when Rob Bass dropped “It Takes Two”) freestyle, disco, and house. Mom was an avid club goer. His entire generation of cousins are musically inclined in some way on both sides of his family, coming from a line of DJs, producers, rappers, and artists that at some point made a go at a career doing what they love. Watching older cousins DJ hip hop house parties in the projects, carrying gear and records for them up project staircases. All of these influences are what have helped mold and shape the current sound.
Miss Min.D: Miss Min.D — has been a driving force in Seattle’s dance music community since 2003. A DJ, producer, promoter, mentor, and born connector, she’s spent over two decades shaping dance floors and building spaces for the scene to grow. From co-founding Skunky Beats and DJ4NORML in the 2000s to resurrecting breaks with Fraktured – Home of the Broken Beat, Mindy helped spark one of the longest-running weeklies in Kremwerk history and expanded the brand into a crew of 20+ DJs pushing UKG, breaks, and DNB across the city. Whether she’s behind the decks, producing events, or guiding the next wave of creators, Miss Min.D shows up with authenticity, fire, and the kind of energy that brings people together.
Mr.Linden: Of course I’ll be kicking it off with a proper warm up set.
