When the transatlantic house music pairing of Sen-Sei (USA) and Col Lawton (UK) takes the stage — most notably across their multiple celebrated performances in Seattle, WA — something truly rare unfolds. What began in 2018 with an unexpected phone call from 5,000 miles away has blossomed into a powerhouse production and performance duo with over 50 tracks under their belt, consistently charting on both Beatport and Traxsource with growing Spotify followers.
On stage, the two operate as a living, breathing organism: Col Lawton, the seasoned UK DJ / Producer commands the decks — carefully selecting and sculpting tracks with the instincts of a man who understands the dance floor on a molecular level — while beside him, Sen-Sei moves entirely on instinct, reading every track Col throws down and responding with 100% improvised keys and synths in real time, freehand layering that adjusts for a track’s complexity while remaining perfectly in tune and in time — conjuring everything from classic Rhodes keys to warm B3 organ to Latin percussion, layers so seamless you’d swear they were pressed into the original record.
The sound they conjure together is a rich, soulful deep house experience built for the true connoisseur — strong percussion flavored with hooky basslines and lush pads that move the body and feed the soul, elevated by Sen-Sei’s live melodic runs and chord voicings adding a warmth and spontaneity that recorded tracks simply cannot replicate.
