Tickets: Tickets for Freaknight are expected to sell out in advance. No single day tickets will be sold, confirmed by USC Events.
Save $ on tickets: Purchase tickets in person at the WaMu Theater box office for the best prices and to save on service fees. As of 10/7/2013, a two day ticket at the box office was priced at $170 in cash or $173 on a credit card. The WaMu Theater box office is located at the north end of Century Link field (under the giant Seahawks sign), and is open M-F 10:00am – 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00am-2:00pm.
Undercover drug enforcement agents will be at Freaknight. This is not new, undercover agents have always been at Freaknight. Check out the above video from King 5 news about the undercover officer presence, it is a bit “freaky” isn’t it! Note that neither King 5 nor the SPD note any increased undercover agent or police officer presence, or new tactics – this video/article by King 5 is only reiterating what we already know: Undercover officers will be at Freaknight.
EmeraldCityEDM has not been able to confirm any increased police presence or increased use of undercover officers. However, with the death of a patron at the 2013 Paradiso Festival, recent deaths on the east coast and increased media attention focused on drug use at electronic music shows, you can be sure that there will be a significant police presence at this year’s Freaknight. Be careful if you plan to consume illegal drugs, and educate yourself about safe usage. Good resources & information about this topic can be found at DanceSafe.org and StaySafeSeattle.
Volunteer: Can’t afford a Freaknight ticket? You’re in luck, you may be able to volunteer! Per USC Events: “We are looking to fill a variety of volunteer positions as we continue building a bigger and better FreakNight! Over the past 17 years, FreakNight has grown to become a massive event that relies on the collective efforts of many people for it’s success. We are amazed at the amount of passionate ‘Freaks’ who are eager to not only attend the annual event, but contribute in some way to it as well. If you would be interested in helping setup or breakdown the show, assist with free water refills or health and safety awareness for attendees; please send an email to [email protected]“.
